Last weekend, I made a trip to the supermarket to grab a loaf of bread. The cashier greeted me with a smile and informed me that the price had jumped to 2,200 naira.
Seriously?
Just a few days ago, it was 1,800 naira!
In an instant, a whirlwind of emotions surged through me—panic, anger, anxiety—and just as I was about to start complaining, I paused.
What good would my complaints do in front of this pleasant cashier? All it would achieve would be to make us feel worse.
Somehow the price of goods are rising while earnings stay same. What’s your plan? 🫵🏿
As for me, my plan is to:
Keep up with daily positive affirmations.
Reduce or eliminate impulse and unnecessary spending.
Remember, every problem presents an opportunity—seek it out.
Positive affirmations are essential for navigating challenging times. When we encounter difficulties, our mindset often shapes our reactions.
By consistently practicing positive affirmations, we train our minds to concentrate on opportunities instead of obstacles.
Positive phrases can also transform negative experiences, enhancing our confidence, resilience, and creativity.
Here are some examples:
"I am a beacon of strength and resilience, capable of overcoming any obstacle.”
"I have the power to create a life filled with joy, love, and endless opportunities.”
Maintaining a positive, solution-oriented mindset through affirmations strengthens mental resilience. It also sharpens one's ability to spot and act on opportunities that others may miss.
In essence, every problem holds the seed of a new business idea/solution—if we’re open to seeing it.
What words are you speaking in this season?
What kind of mindset are you maintaining?
My advice: Choose a positive mindset and back it up with daily positive affirmations.
With this, you are more likely to spot opportunities in every problem.
